DP William Ruto, who is also the UDA de facto leader and the patron of the Hustler Nation movement, played by host to a lean team of his Kitui West 2022 Presidential planning team led by MP aspirant Hon Muasya.
The lean team, that also comprised the former MKU President and youth leader, held a 3 hour closed door meeting with the DP amid speculations of a possible tour of the County by the UDA leader, the County Diary can now confirm.
Speaking to Hon Ben Muasya over the phone, he insisted that their tour was purely a routine visit to brief the DP on development and matters affecting small business owners in Kitui West orchestrated by the Covid 19.
“The pandemic has continued to ravage the economic statuses of small business owners and boda boda riders as elected leaders keep watch. Our people need solutions and we must continue to partner with visionary leaders like this man to help”, said a rather charged Muasya who refused to divulge more information on the contents of their meeting.
Speaking to our sources however, we were able to gather that the DP was impressed by the progress of the Kitui Kibwezi road that passes through the constituency.
They further discussed on possible remedies for pending compensation for residents affected by the road and the increased road carnages that have claimed many lives including that of a prominent lawyer in the recent past. The road is one of the legacy projects by the Jubilee Government.
