This is Ruto at Murumbi Farm in Trans Mara.
Ruto acquired the ranch previously owned by former Vice President Joseph Murumbi, and which borders the famed Masai Mara Game Reserve.
In 2019, Ruto found himself at the centre of a scandal after the Trusted Society of Human Rights wrote to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations seeking to have the DP investigated over his acquisition of the property., but he was cleared of any wrongdoing
The former VP had defaulted on a Ksh8.9 million he had taken out with the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) using the ranch.
Murumbi and his wife died and didn’t have any children.
