At the same time Governor Ngilu has lauded Dr. Chepchieng for his commitment and excellence in serving the County Government of Kitui for the last three years, saying that his long experience in the civil service had come in handy in helping to navigate difficult matters that the County Government had come through.

Dr. Chepchieng departed from the County Government following a two year row with the County Assembly of Kitui, which sued the Governor and the County Public Service Board over his appointment.

In appreciating her elevation to be Acting County Secretary, CO Agnes Mulewa thanked the Governor for the confidence she had shown in her and assured her that she will work round the clock to ensure excellent service delivery to the people of Kitui as well the welfare of all staff in the County Government.
