KITUI FINANCIAL SERVICES ASSOCIATION (F.S.A) LEADERSHIP SAYS GOVERNOR NGILU

The leadership of the over 100,000 strong FInanacial Services Association (FSA) have endorsed the transformative leadership of Governor Ngilu.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the two day capacity building forum, the regional and branch officials expressed satisfaction with the many initiatives that Governor Ngilu had started in Kitui.

On her part Gov Ngilu has extolled Financial Services Association (FSA) leadership for their invaluable services that have transformed the lives of thousands of residents in the county and Ukambani at large.

The Governor commended FSA for its continued financial empowerment especially for residents who are unable to access formal financial services.

“I can attest that none of your members has visited my office to request for pro-poor services in my four years in office thanks to the commendable job you are doing,”
prided the Governor.

FSA boasts over 150,000 members who can access tailored financial services from the institution for personal projects thereby improving their livelihoods.

Governor Ngilu further explained her well articulated five-pillar development agenda that her administration continues to realise by guaranteeing the people of Kitui adequate food and water, better health care, women and youth empowerment, and wealth creation.

She expressed her pride in Kitui’s remarkable milestone as the first county to take up manufacturing and industrialisation ranging from garment production at Kitui County Textile Centre, production of non pharmaceutical at the Kitui pharma to production of construction materials at KIYOSEC and KICOYDEC to livestock value addition, among other flagship county programmes and projects.

On matters politics, the Governor said a focus was not on political competition but a win in which mwananchi will be the winner.

She as well urged the team to have their small groups fill forms for County Empowerment Fund that also seeks to extend loan services to groups aiming at starting income generating ventures across the county.

It was also agreed that FSA leadership would encourage its members to take up the NHIF cover to forestall cases in which families suffer due to unaffordable medical bills, and in turn enable them access NHIF services in the county and beyond

The team unanimously reaffirmed their committment to support the County Government’s programmes and projects in their respective areas of jurisdiction.

They also promised to support Governor Ngilu’s re election in the forth coming elections.

The heavy weight meeting was led by Patrick Wambua King’ole, Peninnah Mulewa, Ann Mutindi and Nicholas Muli, among other FSA managers.
