RE: REQUEST FOR A STATEMENT REGARDING KCSE CERTIFICATES BEING HELD ILLEGALLY BY VARIOUS HEADS OF SECONDARY SCHOOLS ACROSS THE REPUBLIC.
The former Kitui Senator hon David Musila is seeking a statement on the fate of KCSE certificates being held irregularly held by various institutions of education across the country.
The bill he sponsored in 2012 sought to compel the head of schools not to withhold certificate to students regardless of fee balances in schools.
Speaking to the Media reporters, hon David Musila said. “I sponsored this bill in 2012 – and it was approved by the Parliament; The law bars any institution from withholding certificates for students not only in high school but the covers all institutions including universities. I trust that this time round the government will implement the law” David Musila added.
Part of the letter:
The Ministry is required to provide to Parliament an account of all the Certificates being held by Schools across the Country for non-clearance of School fees.
The parliament is required to carry out an audit of the same and forward the information to Director Secondary Education by 11 November 2021, in excel sheet and not PDF as shown below indicating the numbers
Certificates in each year.
Hon David Musila is among leaders who have declared his interest to run for kitui gubernatorial rate in 2022.
