10th January, 2022Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna launched the construction of Mwiwano Earth Dam in Nzawa location.
The legislator lobbied for the dam through National Irrigation Authority since Water is a devolved function.
After completion, the dam will have a capacity of 80,000M³ and will provide clean and sufficient water to over 3,000 households for both domestic, irrigation and livestock use from two locations; Nzawa and Ngongoni.
The launch event was attended by National Irrigation Authority officials and Nuu Ward MCA Hon. Alex Musili -kawaya amongst other dignitaries.Many have lived without love, but none without water
