MONDAY, 28TH MARCH, 2022 – Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau today, hosted a team from Catholic Medical Mission Board(CMMB) led by the President who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Madam Mary Beth Powers, in his office.
Dr Wathe, lauded the team for the support they have been offering to different health facilities in Kitui South Sub County, and urged them to escalate the same to other Sub Counties in Kitui County.
The team is in the County, to oversee the projects, which they have done and others being implemented in various health facilities in Kitui South Sub County, in partnership with Kitui County Government.
In collaboration with Kitui County Government, the CMMB has managed to do the following:
Training Health Works.
Equipping the Newborn Unit at Ikutha Level 5 Hospital.
Supporting the community health volunteers.
Improving Water Sanitation and Hygiene.
Helping heatlh workers by giving them a continuous medical education as well as helping them in doing quality data analysis.
Also present was the CECM in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation Dr Winnie Kitetu and the Public Health Deputy Director Madam Faith Mutinda, among other senior officers in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.
