In the last three years Mutonguni ward has experienced a rapid development progress under the stewardship of Eng Mati.Hon Mati has transformed leadership perception across the ward contrary to the pathetic status left behind by his predecessors.
This time, the county government of Kitui has channeled many development projects to Mutonguni ward touching all devolved sectors despite many challenges associated with Devolution in Kenya.
Hon Eng Mati also won resources from other entities especially in education sector in favor of Mutonguni residents.
He ensures equitable distribution of the sourced projects across the six administrative villages therefore acquiring overwhelming acceptance across the ward.
The current opinion poll carried out by a group nonpartizan residents saw him with a popularity of 54% placing him ahead of his close competitor at 30 %. This serves as a warning the other candidates.
