Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe has today reiterated his pledge to reclaim and restore Kitui’s lost glory.

Dr. Malombe termed revival of the county health sector, water provision, streamlining of staff welfare and spurring the local economy as key areas of priority* in his agenda to make Kitui great again.

The County Chief committed to ensure that forthwith:
Kitui people enjoy excellent public service as well as equitable and sustainable development;

All health facilities are properly staffed, and adequately stocked with drugs and non-consumables;

Contractors are paid prudently and indiscriminately for works done;
County staff are adequately motivated through enhanced welfare – timely remuneration, conducive working conditions, etc;

The prayers were led by Kitui Catholic Diocese Bishop Joseph Mwongela in conjunction with a host of clergymen from other denominations across the county.

Also present was Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua Kanani and Ag. County Secretary (Transition Committee chair) Kimanzi Zakayo, among other senior county officials.
