On Sunday, 15 January, 2023 – Kitui Deputy Governor HE Augustine Kanani addressed leaders during a breakfast at a Mwingi Hotel, where the CS in the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage Hon Peninnah Malonza was holding a brief before attending a Sunday Service at AIC Mwingi in Mwingi Town, The CS later visited Nguni Ward where she will address the community especially on the problems they are facing from Wildlife.
Present was the Mwingi Central MP Hon Dr Eng Gedion Mulyungi, Kitui Speaker Hon Kevin Kinengo, a good number of Kitui County MCAs, opinion leaders and Mwingi Municipal Manager Alex Mutemi, among other officers from County and National Government.
